A note to All Volleyball! subscribers
My website will continue to bring independent third-party journalism to its coverage of volleyball

Larry Hamel’s All Volleyball! remains committed in its mission to publish a wide-ranging array of stories about the sport for its ever-growing number of subscribers and readers.
In the wake of the thrombotic stroke I sustained on April 21, my website went on a brief hiatus. I have striven to maintain somewhat of a presence during the intervening weeks, and from the metrics I see, those efforts have generated strong readership.
Even though All Volleyball! has not delivered the volume of stories that was typical in the weeks before I was hospitalized, my site steadily has added to its subscriber base, which has been particularly encouraging.
The recent story headlined “AVP League's premiere on The CW is a disaster,” for example, obliterated the site’s record for “views,” registering 3,990 (and counting).
I am gratified to report that my recovery has progressed and that I anticipate being able to ratchet up the frequency of stories during the coming months, although summer typically is a slower time the volleyball news. In the meantime, I want to express my thanks to the readers for sticking with All Volleyball! during its period of relative inactivity.
